1) Azioni Solidali Vicentine, the voluntary associations meet and tell about themselves
On September 21st and 22nd, a new edition of Azioni Solidali Vicentine will take place to celebrate the provincial volunteer world. During this manifestation, people could meet and know more about the voluntary associations working on the territory; the will display their activities and commitments in three gazebo areas built in Piazza Erbe, Piazza Garibaldi and Piazza Duomo.Among the events on the two days program, the talk show Agorà (Saturday 21st at Loggia del Capitanio, 1.30 pm) is giving the possibility for the numerous associations to present their purposes and activities during the Citizens’ European year. Maria Rita Dal Molin- president of Centro Servizi di Vicenza - has commented: «The voluntary work cannot overlook the European dimension: we can understand the value of diversity only starting from the multiplicity of experiences». Another aim of this 2013 edition is to involve the school world in order to promote some educational interventions on volunteer valorization behalf. For this reason on Saturday 21st, in the morning, teachers and students are invited to take a ride along the different gazebo areas and discover, all together, the volunteer dimension that is going to be told by the Racconta le azioni solidali contest’s partecipants who will be awarded for the best video, picture, poem, etc. that capture the most meaningful moment during the manifestation.
2) Grant for school books: on line applications till October 10th
The school authorities in Vicenza remind that it is still possible to apply for the school books grant backing high school students and their families. The grant coming from Veneto Region, is addressed to family whose Isee is not more than 10632,94 euros. The application is available only online till October 10th. For those who don’t have an internet linked computer the Veneto Region’s Ufficio Relazioni col Pubblico (contra Mure S. Rocco 51), the didactic office of the student’s school and the Informagiovani’s office (Levà degli angeli 7) will be at their service.
3) Independence referendum, Lega Nord puts up a banner on the regional council building’s façade
On September 17th, on the Palazzo Ferri Fini’s façade in Venezia, Lega Nord put up a banner backing the Veneto’s independence referendum proposal. On the banner there was written: we vote for the independence. Federico Caner and Paolo Tosatto – respectively Lega’s group leader and vice leader – have commented: «Lega Nord confirms what we have promoted for ages.
