1) Ipab and disability, Variati and Sala meet the regional councilor Sernagiotto

«We found an agreement with Ipab’s extraordinary commissioner, Francesco Zantedeschi: he committed himself to finish the valuation by the end of as soon as possible, probably befor the end of its mandate». Whereas, for the disability found, all the political authorities promised to find a solution after the financial cut due to the economic crisis: against a 7,5M euros cut on a regional level, Vicenza will suffer a 500m euros cut. Sernagiotto agreed to back Vicenza’s position at the regional council in order to obtain a softer passage through the spending review.

 

2) The last Fiera del Soco’s night introduces the Alpini’s gathering

 

On September 12^th, the 2013 edition of Fira del Soco ended with a result that overcome all the negative expectations. Also during this manifestation, the national summer trend has been confirmed: according to Coldiretti, almost 3 Italians on 4 decided to spend their summer vacations participating at a village fair. By the way, Grisignano cannot rest: from Friday September 13^th, the Alpini’s gathering from Vicenza is going to be held, starting with the Vajont disaster commemoration. The 48^th gathering will host almost 6000 Alpini from the 136 groups that form he Vicenza’s section. The manifestation climax will be on Sunday September 15^th: from the morning raise of flag to the afternoon parade. A food stand will be open during all the manifestation.

 

3) First school bell, Variati to kids: prepare yourselves to improve the town

 

In accord with a proposal coming from Umberto Nicolai – town councilor for education – the mayor and all the town councilors have decided to adopt one or more school each on September 12^th, in order to greet the students and wish them a great new school year. Variati was at Tiepolo and Barolini schools, where he addressed his speech to children and teachers: «This is an important day for you. I ask you to be from now on, not only good students but also good citizens. At the older students, I’d say that they should taking some time, during their school years, to think about the improvement that our city needs. It will come a day when you will be the one who look after Vicenza».
