1) From Veneto, the grocery shopping’s 2.0 revolution starts

From Monday September 2^nd, in Veneto and Emili-Romagna is starting the experimental session of affaridelgiorno.it’s initiative. Affaridelgiorno.it is a startup from Lamezia Terme (Catanzaro) proposing to its clients a web site and an app capable of making them saving money and time when they are at the supermarket.

Affaridelgiorno.it provides a wide choice of discount tickets on alimentary and not alimentary goods. The discount tickets can be printed or downloaded on you smartphone and show at the till (this opportunity will be available only at Sisa and Quick Sisa in Vicenza). Antonio Follino – affaridelgiorno.it’s CEO – explains that: «In this crisis period the saving on grocery shopping in extremely important. Moreover, Italy has a 11% higher level of grocery shopping’s costs than all the other European countries».

 

2) Imu on industrial properties, Zaia: in Rome they do not know what is a warehouse

Laca Zaia has commented the abolition of the economical measure in favor of industrial properties, supposed to cancel the Imu tax: «About the fiscal subject, we all hope that words could change into facts. We hope that the economical measure in favor of warehouses’ tax deductibility could become true, as they have promised. But the problem is that in Rome thy neither know what is a warehouse». In this way, Zaia has expressed the enterpreneurs’ frustration: Iras and Irap has increased. Zaia’s opinion about the entire fiscal new laws is that: «They do all this because they do not want to apply the standard cost that could save almost 30 billion euros».

 

3) Commemorative ceremony for Freccia: “swear on spring’s green that you will never forget”

Saturday September 31^st, in Tonezza del Cimone, a commemorative ceremony in honor of the English major John Prentice Wilkinson –battle name Freccia – was held. Wilkinson died in March 1945, shot down by a German patrol squad. The plate affixed three years ago in the point where the major was shot down, reminds his bravery and his military action helping the Italian partisans and coordinating them with the allied forces. At the commemorative ceremony, Wilkinson’s nephew was present and donated a bust of his grandfather in memory of his life. Freccia is buried in Padua’s military cemetery with a gravestone engraved with the sentence: «Have you already forgotten? Raise your sight and swear on sping’s green that you will never forget». 

1) 212 events during the little historical town’s September

Anciveneto has confirmed that there are over 212 events related to the little historical town project aiming to promote the minor urban centers with a great artistic heritage. The majority of events deal with music and culture (27 on 212 events). Then, there are almost the same number of sport and environmental events (respectively 26 and 24) and a minority of other different fairs (religious, economical and theatrical).

2) Fast for environment, the handover from Don Bizzotto to Marano and Bassano has started

Ended after 14 days, Don Albino Bizzotto’s fast for the environmental emergency in Veneto has been continued by Marano’s town council. The council members will fast in turn starting from the mayor Piera Moro – who completed her fasting day on August 30^th. In the meanwhile, during the last weekend, in Bassano del Grappa (Vicenza), the Covepa committee and the Parco delle Rogge association protested against the Pedemontana’s construction sites. The demonstrators sympathized with Don Bizzotto’s message and initiative recalling his principals and the ones leading the Beati i Costruttori di Pace association.

 

3) Orgiano’s incident, Toniolo: close to the people involved, but we must work for the security

Costantino Toniolo –regional councilor for PDL party – has expressed his affinity with the people involved in the Orgiano’s incident and their families: «“Festa del trattore” is a very participated fair in Orgiano; it has started stealthily but always supported by the local administration. For this reason I trust the authorities dealing with the explosion causes. Everyone must work for the security»
