1) Wideband development and digital agenda, a more modern and competitive Veneto
At the end of the last regional council a new resolution was approved. It deals with a new convention about the wideband development in the rural areas, according to the guidelines drawn by the Minister for the economic development. Referring to this, Marino Zorzato - regional vice president - commented:

«By 2014 we will have had a more advanced Veneto. We are going to use 14milions euros to finance telecommunication operators' investments in order to introduce a service in the areas which suffer a digital gap, reducing the physical and geographical isolation in the most marginal zones».
Furthermore, 8milions euros will be used to support another project dealing with the digital agenda, such as: wider free public Wi-Fi areas, cloud computing services and just graduated informatics students employments.

2) Forest fires, also Vicenza is a dangerous area
Veneto region has declared a high level of forest fires danger because of the weather and plant conditions; also Vicenza is involved - particular attention on Colli Beric which represent 7,3% of all Vicenza's territory. For these reasons the urban security office invites all the citizenship to pay attention at the well known laws about fire lightings. In case of fire, the useful numbers to call are 115 (firefighters) and 1515 (national forest corps).

3) Studenti per la libertà steps in the debate on regional grant for Vicenza University
Roberto Pellizzaro - regional coordinator of Studenti per la libertà - has commented the last news about a grant for Vicenza University: «We appreciate the decision to allocate a grant for Vicenza University; it proves the growing importance surrounding Vicenza University site in its regional and extra-regional context».

5) Guardia di Finanza's controls over the patrol stations in Vicenza: 5 outlaw situations found out (for now)!
During the last week, Guardia di Finanza carried out an investigation on patrol stations in Vicenza in order to verify the taxes application and the quality and quantity product's levels. Declaring to protect both the consumers and the national treasure, Guardia di Finanza has discovered 5 (on 11) not properly working patrol stations, which were counterfeited. Further investigations will clarify if there has also been a patrol manipulation.

6) Zanonato contested, high tension at Malga Zonta
During his speech at 69th commemoration ceremony for the nazi-fascist massacre at Malga Zonta (Agust 15th), Flavio Zanonato - ministry of economic development - was contested. The small group of protesters showed some No-Tav posters and shouted at Zanonato, calling him fascist. The ministry wasn't able to finish his speech and argued with the protesters who have been driven off by the police.
At the end of the ceremony, Zanonato spoke about the economic situation in Italy, underlining that the economic crisis hasn't gone away yet.
